Probate, Trust &
Estate Administration

Facing the death of a family member or friend is never easy, and wrapping up a decedent’s business and financial affairs doesn’t make it easier.

In our experience, the best that we can do for clients facing such circumstances is to get the process right the first time. RGF balances efficiency and efficacy when it comes to assisting fiduciaries with the disposition of assets and settlement of claims, whether that process involves probate of the decedent’s last will and testament, the administration of a trust, or both. In doing so, we also bring decades of experience dealing with both the income tax and estate tax issues that often arise in the wake of the loss of a loved one.

Estate, Gift, and GST Tax Compliance

With the gradual rise of the federal lifetime “unified credit” exemption from $600,000 in 1997 to $13,990,000 in 2025, the number of donors, estates, and trusts exposed to estate, gift, and GST tax liability has decreased. Accordingly, the number of accounting and tax professionals with the necessary training and experience to assist those who face a federal marginal estate, gift, and GST tax of 40% has also dropped. We have decades of experience preparing U.S. Forms 706, 706-NA, 706-GS(T), 706-GS(D), and 709 and state counterparts, so in addition to assisting our own clients, we offer these discrete services to the clients of other accounting and probate firms, as well as institutional and professional fiduciaries.
